Don't worrie, I'm going to take it to a jeweler tomorrow and have them look a it, if you win and it's not real, I will refund your credits, I'm really not a mean rude person!
Bambi, please read comments!!! am having issues with other bidders on wether or not it's real! I just want you to know that I still think it is real! Thank you
You should take this off as you listed it as 10kt and not 10Ktsr. Let these people off the hook and be fair. They might not come back if you don't. It's the right thing to do. John
Ok I have to say this, You don't know how big the Real Diamonds are? Didn't you buy this from your husband? Also the stamp in the ring 10ksr is the makers mark. Not a engravers mark. Now onto the deal, It's my understanding Sr stands for like gold over some silver and other metals. Not really a true 10 kt ring here. I wonder about the stones now. I googled the 10ksr and it's like I said. Just saying don't be a hater. John
OMG.... i just bidded on a fake gold ring.....DAM......listia moderator please remove this posting ASAP.......i need my credits back......PLEASE STOP THIS AUCTION :(
Like I said before I did not know this till it was to late! I can not change it or take it off now!!! I have not been mean or rude! If you don't like what is here than please leave! And if listia felt that it needed to be taken off then that would be fine to! Have a good night and for all others still biding I hope you are reading all the comments so you know what you are getting! Thanks!
what i found.....but u cant list as 10k...some ppl buy things from listia to sell for $ and 10k does not mean the same as 10ksr.u should change yr description.:)just bein nice before listia pulls it which they may, since in the description, it says 10k:)
10K SR means solid 10K gold with SR as the manufacturer's mark. 10K gold is 10/24 gold and 14/24 other alloying metals (usually copper and nickle) Some might say that the SR means "silver", but standard nomenclature would be .925 or sterling or some percentage, indicating the type of silver or percentage silver. But not just silver. It wouldn't make sense not giving you the alloy amount. Having cut open a ring to re-size with 10K SR stamped on it , there is no silver inside the ring. It is good to be cautious. Get a guarantee. And if you are still in doubt, maybe have another jeweler resize it. (They'll tell you if it's plated or not.) However if the ring indicated an alloy of silver base metal, the plating would wear over time. Some jewelers ( Whitehall as an example) will offer a plan that will cover 2 years worth of re-plating. After that, you're on your own. On a white gold ring, it won't be as noticeable but the sterling will have a less dull shine than the plating. As always with Sterling, keep it in a small ziplock bag to keep it from turning when not in use.
Maybe you didn't know. But th point is you listed it as 10k, when in fact it's not. It should have been listed as 10ksr. So, I'm just simply saying if you keep it listed and I win {which I probley will cause no one else is bidding} you'll just have to turn around and refund the credits because it wasn't listed right.
That stamp with Sr was not put in by or for your Ex, it was placed the by the maker. so why did you say that? Instead of saying what the real Sr stands for? You can't say you didn't say it. We can read the listing and you answers. Had to ask.
Now you're saying 10K SR means solid 10K gold with SR as the manufacturer's mark. Before you said ......only flaw is it has my hubbys initials sr on the inside of the band! That's how you listed it as such. Now why did you say that then and this now? I'm calling it how I see it and read it on the net like Tdrav580 did. Not listed as really how it is, Now is it?
Here is what I read--- I work at a Pawn shop and just saw a W/G ring with this marking... so I tested it with my jewelers acid to see what it would do. When testing with acid a slight scratch into the metal must be made (enough to go through a plating) when the acid hit the scratch in the white gold the underlying metal bubbled green and showed a 'copper' color. The test showed to me that this was a copper based metal with a rather thick w/g plating. No value at all in the Pawn world due to no way to smelt this to get the metals separated

Then do the right thing and close the auction because like I said, if I win I don't want it and you'll just have t turn around and refund the credits. You can relist it as what it is.
I did not buy this from my husband it was from his ex and is name is sam Rainey so they are his anitials, if this is what you are reading on the Internet, then my bad, I honestly didn't know! If you see all my other auction aim not a liar or a cheater! I can understand why you would be upset but I am not a liar
