The Caron yarn does state crochet needle size 5.5 mm I-9 US. Knitting needle size US 8.

Hi, it actually doesn't say, it says "use sullivans 4mm knitting needles (USA size 6 UK size 8). I don't know if this will help you convert to crochet needles or not. Sorry
