Description

The listing, **BLUE Hybrid Pumpkin Seeds** (look at pics!) has ended.

This auction is for 10 seeds. These are some of the coolest pumpkins I have ever seen! This is my first year growing them. I re-ordered another pack to auction off again because they got such a great response! The last pic is of the sprouts (of the 5 seeds) that I started 2 weeks ago. All 5 seeds germinated and have started to grow into plants healthy plants. I will probably put them in the ground this weekend.
There are no special instructions, they are as easy as regular pumpkins are to grow and maintain. I thought this would be a great way to get my son involved with gardening this season. We'll be the only house that has big Blue Pumpkins on the porch for Halloween :)

The earlier they are planted in the season and the longer that they are left on the vine; the bigger they get and darker blue they become. I started mine in a small pot and separated them shortly after they sprouted. I left them outside during the day, brought them in at night and watered them daily (amount of water used depends on size of seedling and depth of soil).

Thank you for reading and happy planting!

I've read that they are edible, but they are more of an ornamental pumpkin. Not really one that you'd use to make pie with, it's more for decoration. If you're looking to eat a pumpkin, I would stick with a regular one.

This is my first year planting them, so I have no idea. If I took a guess, I'd say that they are probably off-white in the middle, maybe even a bit greenish? I will look it up and post what info I find about it.

Wow. gorgeous pumpkins! If I didn't live in an apartment, I'd have an acre of these growing...I wonder if anyone would notice them growing behind the shrubs?

lol, I dunno, they need a lot of sun at least 5-8 hrs a day to grow healthy enough to produce. Another possibility is If you have a patio or some space outside where you can plant a few seeds in a large pot? The pumpkins probably won't grow to be huge or anything (depending on the size & depth of the pot) but the plant will still yield fruit. Also if you don't have the ground space (pumpkin plants tend to spread out & take up a lot of room) you can always vine them. I will have to do that with a few of the ones I planted this year.

I agree with everyone, these are so unique! I can't say I have ever seen a blue pumpkin, well one that grew that way anyway lol! That is spectacular! And Rosie2013, be careful with that one if you try it lol! I would say they certainly would get jacked! :)
