That mx coins guy knows a lot... And anything from 1964 and earlier (Besides nickels or penny's) are 90% silver plus you can tell just by looking at the edges, like a modern quarter will have a copperish edge and a pre 1965 quarter will have a silverish edge.

Even a silver dollar doesn't weigh a full troy ounce. A coin weighing 28 grams isn't a troy ounce. it's a half dollar.

Lol. A troy ounce is like 30 grams or something like that. Silver dollars are a little under a troy ounce. 28 grams isn't an ounce in silver weight.
