The listing, VINTAGE GENUINE LEATHER CHANEL HANDBAG has ended.

I believe this is lambskin leather it is very soft ... the purse is in good shape as you can see from the pictures. it is a small purse for times when you just want to carry the necessities. a friend of mine who is a flight attendant bought it for me on one of her trips for watching her house while she was away. it is about 81/2" tall and 9" wide and 41/2" deep. you can see the copyright on one of the c's in the pictures. i am ading a few little fun things to the purse 1) a brown & gold stretch bracelet. 2) a pair of silvertone pierced earrings. 3) 3 single post earrings one clear, one blue & one pink. 4) one pocket size tissue. 5) one long clear crystal key lanyard ... i will show them in my pictures also. if i see the bidding go up enough i will add some more to the purse.

I want to gin but I need to know if it's smoke free. I got a used Chanel from a smoking home and could NEVER get the smell out no matter what I did. It became worthless to me and I wound up washing it in the tub with soap and it still smelled. Didn't ruin the purse at all, matter of fact it made it prettyier.LOL

Some of the vintage ones had no lining or marking inside ... there is avintage one similar to mine on ebay for $535. and some change, that has the same inside as mine too. sorry but i dont know what else to tell you.

I can't imagine a designer not putting thier stamp and serial number in one of thier early purses. Good luck with the listing. Have you ever had it authenticated at the Purse Forum? They are really helpful and extremely knowledgable. How old is the bag? What year was it made? Watching ^_^

no i never had it authenticated as I said it was a gift from a friend of mine who was a flight attendant and I guess I just never thought to do that because it was a gift and I thought it was super nice of her to bring me anything at all ... if someone was to give me say a coach bag or an other name brand gift I would still not check it out ... because that's just not me ... I guess it just doesn't mean that much to me whether or not it is authentic. (sorry it's the the way I am plus i have no idea what a purse forum is) anyhow she gave me the bag in July of 1991 and looking on line I saw that Beginning in the 1990s (but it does not say what year in the 90's) is when thery started to number all authentic Chanel handbags ... and that is all it said about it. So if you believe this to not be authentic please by all means walk away from it and that goes for anyone who already bid on it if they want to walk away just let me know and that will be fine ... it is a very nice soft leather bag for those who want it and I was told by the person who gave it to me it was Chanel. I don't know what else to tell you.
