This is a used Barbie LeapPad2 for a little girl, it works great, no issues with functions. It comes with the pen attached to touch screen, it has a camera and takes great pictures. Your little girl will be able to play games, listen to music and take pictures. There is a place to insert cartridge and use head phones. Your little girl will love it so much, I would say it is good for 2 years and up, it's a great learning experience for your child.

Does it take battery's or cord? Can you download games and learning activties?

Sorry to get you so late,It takes batteries I know and I do know that you can insert a cartridge, There is a place for headphones, yes you can download from the internet, you just need the cord to hook to your computer and then hook it to the LeapPad2. I don't have the cord, and I have no cartridges for it either.
