WWII Era early 1940's (hard/compressed paper) One Dollar Red Goose Shoes Discount Token. This token is an odd dark blue color. (not gray as shown in photos)

When you bought a pair of Red Goose Shoes you got a golden egg. Inside the egg were things like candy, toys, or a token.

The tokens were redeemed for face value discounts on Red Goose Shoes. There were different denominations that were discounted on your next purchase. If you find one that has an "R" stamped on it the token was redeemed for a free pair of shoes.

Aluminum and other metals were used prior to the 40s and WWII. Other non metalic materials were used during the war.
