Description
The listing, LAST ONE ~ Oklahoma Farm Lithograph by JC McLeod ~ $30.00 VALUE has ended.
This is a lithograph from an oil painting by artist JC McLeod - this lithograph sells for $30.00 in my catalog. It is a landscape of a Farm in Oklahoma, amazing detail. This will be shipped in a mailing tube. Thanks for looking!
For anyone who does not understand what a lithograph is, like the person above, and if you are interested, these particular lithographs are 4-color separations, taken from the original oil painting, then printed on high-quality paper 1 color at a time. These use cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (like a modern home printer does.) These lithographs are from oil paintings done by my father - who died of cancer in 1990- and was a well-respected artist and teacher whose work was commissioned world-wide and whose originals and lithographs can be found world-wide. I've had over 20 Listians win lithographs and the person above is the only one who didn't understand what she was bidding on - so to prevent any misunderstanding, here is a link to the catalog (the photo quality of the catalog is not very good because I needed to get it online in a hurry due to so many of my father's fans wanting to buy these lithographs (also called prints,) but you can see the other prints, image sizes (without the white border,) and also the standard prices for these prints. I am sad this person chose to throw away something that was truly art because she didn't understand what a lithograph was, and did not give me an opportunity to discuss this and somehow make it right for her, but instead chose to say something mean in an open forum. Anyway, here is the link, so no one else will be confused about what they are bidding on: http://www.gabesfajitas.com/jcmcleod/index.htm
Here is a beautiful article that shows how these magnificent lithographs were created in the 1960s and 1970s: http://graphicdesign.about.com/od/printproductionglossary/g/separation.htm I actually have some of the single-color prints from some of the lithographs like the ones in the pictures on that link, they only show one color from the print!
