Description

The listing, New Collectors: Circulated 1965 Quarter has ended.

Here we have a circulated 1965 Washington quarter. Value at Cointractor.com: As a rough estimate of this coins value you can assume this coin in poor condition will be valued at somewhere around $1, while one in "perfect" condition can bring $35. This price does not reference any standard coin grading scale. So when we say poor, we mean worn more than would be expected from a coin in this age, and perfect meaning it looks "perfect" without flaw and possibly even certified.

Additional Info: The 1965 Quarter coin has 0 silver content. The only coins minted after 1964 to contain silver are the Kennedy Half Dollars. The 1965 quarters are 75% copper, and 25% nickel. Also.. no proof coins were issued for this year.

Please bid accordingly, have fun, and listia rules apply. Once you win the auction please post your listia approved address. Happy bidding.

Well always look at your change. Keep all pennies 1982 and before plus look at coin date charts. You might have a coin that is worth more than you think.

Why would a circulated 1965 quarter be worth more than a quarter? It is not like someone is going to melt it down and sell it for its metal value, as only doing that would increase its value. So, why is a normal quarter worth more than 25 cents?

Did I not post from a reputable online coin value site all the details. Age is one factor, condition, rarety are just a few things. If you read all what was posted you would learn a few things about coin collecting in general.
