Is it 2" in height too?

no it's not that tall. I will give you a quick guess and say it's about 1 inch in (height or depth). I will measure it for you later tonight when I get home and will reply again if it's not around an inch. You can notice that each piece looks to be about 1/2 inch deep in the photo

The container measures 1 inch on the edge and about 1 1/2 inches tall at the center of the "dome" of the lid

I measured it's height and it is 1inch on the sides and 1 1/2 inch deep under the center of the "dome" under the lid. I have used these to store my small hard lotion bars which were about the size of a mini cupcake (without icing) if that is any help.
