Gorgeous ceramic vase with brass , hand painted and glazed to a shine! The glaze on this piece is stunning. Turquoise, with gold accents, this piece is finished off with a brass top and base.
Delft is a tin-glazed pottery that has been made since the seventeenth century in Holland.

This vase is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. The brass has some patina and some spotting. I have not tried cleaning the metal and I will leave that to the new owner. These are beautiful works of art!!!!

Questions & Comments

Is there the queens stamp or a number on there, usually Delft if it is real will have that on the pottery, Just wondering because I can't tell, I am 100% Dutch and been to Holland and this is what they told us when we went where they made the Delft. Thanks!

Hi Peggi, I'm 100% first born American German!! I love the Country over there! Holland indeed id very beautiful! On this piece I am not sure...if you read any other comments but another girl and I both had the same Delfts at the same time, just different pieces, and all of them were marked. The previous owner m of this particular one had a felt cover put on, or she/he put it on the bottom I guess to protect it and I don't want to pull it off and possibly ruin something on it. I shined a light inside of it and saw no markings...

Thanks!! About 6 months ago I had found 2 other pieces of this beautiful pottery at an estate sale, another Listia seller had 3 of the same collection but completely different shapes and sizes. We didn't know each other or even live in the same state but put both of them up for auction at the same time! :)

"Grrrrrr" I understand it and may just use it if you do not mind. we go through all the trouble to take pics, write out a very definitive description so that the comments section can be used just to pass the time of day if anyone wished.
I have said some things that I have regretted and even 1 time had to hide, and I try never to hide anything in the comments section.
