Questions & Comments
Really cute shorts. Is this for juniors or women's? Thank you.
What items do you get for a GIN bid? That shouldn't just be left to our imagination, as we need to know exactly what we would be bidding so many credits for. It's not like when you offer a bonus for winning the auction or for the auction going over a certain amount. With a GIN, the bidder is actually buying on items that they can see in order to judge their worth to them. You can't just say 'many, many items' and expect us to know if they are worth bidding 25,000 credits on---even if you say they are not samples. Do you get my drift? List the specific items that a GIN bid will get you. Otherwise, all you are offering is a bonus if someone bids over 25,000 for these shorts and I'm pretty sure we both know that's not likely to happen, don't we?
Maybe they are Listia approved and age appropriate, but unless people know what they are going to receive, they will not bid. I'm not saying what you're doing is against Listia rules or anything like that. I'm just saying that you are asking people to bid big on items that are sight unseen. As far as a bidder knows, the only thing that is guaranteed are the shorts. For all we know, the other items we would be paying for could be many, many pairs of men's gym socks or baby booties or golf balls by bidding your GIN of over 25,00 credits. You need to tell your bidders what the 'many, MANY other GREAT items' that you mention in your offer actually ARE!!! I, for one, would not want to bid 25,000 credits on anything unless I know EXACTLY what I would be getting, besides the shorts, for that kind of a bid. NOW do you get it? For your information, GIN stands for Get It Now and is the top price a seller wants for their item(s). A bidder will use it in order to buy the item before the auction closes if they are afraid they will be outbid at the end of the auction. You can add bonus items that do not have to be defined for bids that go over a certain amount during the bidding, but that is NOT a GIN. When offering a GIN, you must tell the bidders exactly what they are getting for the GIN amount asked. I don't know how much plainer I can make it than this. I'm just trying to help you out here, but you seem to take it more as criticism. At any rate, it really doesn't matter to me because I am not willing to bid on this auction anyway without knowing exactly what a 25,000 credit "GIN", as you call it, would get me. Good luck, anyway. You will probably need it.
