14" tall wood and tin electric light designed light a candle. Is 17" high with light, which will be included. Very bright and pretty. Works perfectly!

is it as bright as a candle or does it require a shade? if so does a shade come with it?

With the light bulb I have, I think it is brighter than a candle. I liked it that way. You can always buy a lower watt bulb if you want low light. It does not come with any shade. It is suppose to look like a lighted candle. Thanks for asking.

does it come with a flame type bulb....and does it run by battery or electric???

I'm including a flame styled bulb and it is electric. It has a switch on the electrical cord.
