An old-time favorite for home and market. Plants are large, upright, with light green leaves; heavily frilled and blistered. Crisp texture and delicate flavor. Early, quick grower; splendid for non-heading or cutting lettuce.
Sow seeds in early spring or mid to late summer. Scatter seed thinly in furrows 1/4" deep and 18" apart. Cover with 1/4" of fine soil. Germinates 7 to 14 days. Gradually thin 4" to 12" apart. Cultivate frequently. Matures 45 days.
These are new, just received in the mail. Date on packet says packed for 2015 use by 2016 season.
