Description
The listing, Vintage Japanese Porcelain Pre-World War II Rickshaw Planter has ended.
This was purchased at an estate sale that had a lot of world war II items. It was said that the gentlemen in the Navy brought it back from the War as a souvenir. It is in nice condition.
A rickshaw with a boy and made into a planter. Marked Made in Japan Hand Painted on bottom. It measures almost 5" long and planter part is 2 1/2". Nice painting all over it. Taken care of well.
Questions & Comments
Pre WWII porcelain says Nippon on it. Right after the war it was marked "Made in occupied Japan" and after the country was turned back over to Japan it says ""Made in Japan", so I don't know when he purchased this but it wasn't before the war and I'm pretty sure of this information. Been in the business over 35 yrs.
