Description

The listing, Vintage Stainless Honor Student Medal - Signed has ended.

In original embossed container, never worn, excellent - mint condition. Made in the mid 1970's by Terry Berry.

It is 1" long and 1/2" wide at the largest width. Very nice quality from a company which used to specialize in making student class rings.

Would make an excellent gift to your honor student - regardless of age. No school name on pendent. Gift as is or place on a chain. Sure beats one of those bumper stickers!

I earned this award for having the highest grade point average in junior high school.

I don't believe pendants like these are given out anymore.

I really would like it go to someone's child who really deserves to be recognized for their outstanding grades and the dedication.

All Listia rules apply.

Still Free Shipping.

If some of my life experiences help others to avoid some of my mistakes, it brings joy to my heart.

I aLSO went to college....unfotunantly never received my degree...two things made sure of it...in being the Presidents son of the college I went to...he resides he wants to marry me and if I want my degree that is what I would have to do to get it...also walked in on his father and the secretary having relations with the door unlocked...went to schedual an appointment to see him about a class problem...and after that unsightly sceen...my classes disappeared all together. He made it impossible to get my degree after that. I also had three siblings at home whom needed the chance to go to college...and with no scholarship help...I quite and went home got a job and my life be gain...never able to return to finish school.
Sounds like you also tried doing the right thing and people in life cheered you also....Evil doers...but in the wilds end they will see what is in store for them...then its too late...we just need to keep doing right and our best...we will be rewarded in more ways than one. Those whom work hard for what they have and keep working hard to keep it, will appreciate it more than those whom gain through life the wants and needs...they will always expect that hand out. I would rather be an earthly angle and do what I know is right than trash my morals and values for a short time gain, when I know my goal is for the long haul...and hopefully forever.
Well tonight is the night, my heart swells with pride but my eyes tearing for I will miss him dearly...won't know wjat to do with myself. Empty nester...got to get a hobbue, lol.

OMG....what a horrible situation at that college! I think I would have reported the creep.

I was bullied at work at different jobs. One lady threatened to kick my butt, so I told her to bring it on. She probably would have brought her lunch and friends too. She was suppose to work for me. I reported her to my boss (which did nothing) - then I took it up the ladder but nothing was ever done.

That was my last job in Quality Management - I had ulcers, high blood pressure on top of 2 hour round trip daily to work. I was so stressed out : ( ..... Because I live up north the roads were horrible in the winter, I rolled my 4x4 on black ice and got rear ended within 4 months.

I had to go on family leave because I had messed up my back and had to have surgery. My ex-fiancé of almost 20 years would not let me quit my job but I did anyways. He missed the good money I used to make. We split up a little 8 months later.

To some people money is everything but to me, I would rather be happy and the starving artist I am today.

Even though he was bullied in school and was not looked as popular and some faculty seemed to go out of their way to hold him back...he persevered and made it to graduation day and no one can take that away ever! And he is headed for college...Amen...He is the strongest person I know besides my own mother and mother-inlaw. :D

I don't know anyone who deserves the medal more than your son!

Being unable to have children and the few relatives I could have given it to.......it just didn't seem right. I knew in my heart it would not be appreciated.

I wish your son good luck in college and chose his major with care. He is amazing and has a wonderful Mom who supports him whole hearted.

That's what I thought to meant : )

Here's a little history about me.....
My half-sister told my mother that getting good grades was always easy for me. My mother corrected her and said Lorri worked hard for grades she got. I can't remember how many times I would study until I feel asleep and got up in the middle of the night to study for exams.

Been there...my parents split up for one year and it was up to me to take care of my three siblings and mmy father...mom wanted us to leave with her...but I could not do that...my father is a Vietnam vet and I knew he was suffering from post traumatic stress disorder...and at times was suppressed..not to mention sleep appnia? So told mom...couldnt leave him...thought he would die...my grades suffered...was not getting enough sleep myself and my father finally decided us up between two different families members...this was not ideal...but it allowed me to work hard and get my grades up...like one point having a high B average. But I did it in spite of the problems that I was facing. I would not let my son use his conditions as an excuse...I WAS ADIMENT in him knowing it just means you have to try hatrder than most. Perserviered and it worked...he is graduating High School. Hadicape is a discusting word and being diffrenr or learning differently is not a hadicape just means you unique and different in your own way...buckle down and show them what your made of. I am provide of you also...school is not easy, ever...not even for those who make strait A's for they also have obsticals they must over come...no matter what they say and we are all different and uique. And only fear of the unknown can keep us from our best.

Book smarts isn't everything. Having common sense, a loving family support system, keeping your mind open to change and the willingness to work on your weak points is also very important in having a success career.

I graduated from college with a bachelors degree in accounting and found a career in quality engineering and management. I worked very hard and after almost 20 years I was burned out.

There are bullies in the work force too. Women can be the very worst; sad but true.

I made a huge mistake when I went back to college the second time after I knew I couldn't continue to work in quality. I picked a major - Medical Billing Specialist - that had no future. No one will hire you unless you have at least two years experience. The college I went to mislead people into believing there was jobs out there. How do you get the experience if no one is willing to hire you?

You sound like a wonderful mother! Keep on your son to make sure he is level headed and grounded. With you backing him, your son will be successful and happy.

Money is not everything, helps, but also hinders us from appreciating the little things in life. When the Presedent runs the school there is nothing that you do that would make a diiffrence and I even tried to go back and Finnish once, forgot about this till I got to telling things...he stopped that from happening to...just did not know it till several years later.
Wow! What a hardship....so sorry for all the trouble you have had...I would almost bet...you are a stronger woman because or inspire of it all. Similar things happened to me also plus a couple of others I just can't mention here on the web.
But life has been good to me as well. My best blessing was my family....I wish you were able to have children...what a gift they are. But from what I have observed those whom are not able to be individual parents like most others...are very special...for they have loads of others children whom love them and vice versa...so they are like secondary parents...:)
