I love old radios and I love to paint. I thought, why not combine the two?
I purchased this fully functional 1980's vintage Emerson radio at a local thrift shop and gave it a fun and funky update.

This may not be something everyone would be interested in because you have to think outside the box to enjoy it.

It is hand-painted using spray paint, acrylic, metallic paint and painters tape. Layers of paint give it texture and numerous coats of clear satin finish protect it.

It has a dual alarm, am fm radio, snooze, sleep and dimmer.

Another fun feature is a lighted radio dial when you turn on the radio.

It measures 9 3/8 x 5 x 3 inches.
