3-4 feet high perennial plant which spreads by runners, so be forewarned, but it does look nice in large drifts. Attractive to pollinators and butterflies. Flowers in mid-late summer, purply-pink and dragon shaped, hence its other common name, dragon flower. Great toward the back of a perennial bed or plated on a sloping land where mowing is difficult to do. Lovely in cut flower arrangements.

Instructions for growing: Place the seeds in moist soil and stand back. Really, that is all there is to it. They do it on their own if you let them!
