My mother imherited this BROMWELL, 5 cup flour sifter. s from my grandmother Hanna 's house up in MINNESOTA when she passed away in the1940s--and my mom remembered many days in the kitchen sifting flour--My grandmother had 5 kids so it has seen a lot of use (has some wear and patina, and some hard work wear at the rim "spout.) All fits in with way of life for this new American-but looks just adorable. Those collecting for display wouldn't want it any other way. It comes to life in your hands and speaks ( in Swedish, I suppose" Hee Hee..)
.I am going to be 78...and my mom was born in 1915---SO I estimate this is 1920'S to 1930'S You can still use it just fine. Has a great ambiance and "aura"--- Those Swedes really knew how to bake. My grandmother settled in Northern Minn.about 1900 directly from Sweden. Long history here. I'll never forget her cookies made with dates, walnuts, brown sugar, spices and sour cream. I hope to get some in Heaven.
THIS IS A LARGE 5 CUP SIFTER and it is time for me to pass this on to the right lovely person.
