The listing, Metal decorative pieces (2)- possibly antique? has ended.

2 pieces of metalware
both auctioned together, sealed in ziplock bag.
first item is miniature grater with screw hole in top. no screw but any screw would do.
second item if old spoon somewhite rusty looking with 2 holes for screws. 2 screws included.
Both of these were mounted on a board but board was rotten.

The grater you have there appears to be a old nutmeg grater my mother has one just like it but w a little compartment w a lid on top to keep the nutmeg in

I thought that too (nutmeg). They appear to be more decorative than functional. Thanks for your input though.

IT LOOKS LIKE A WOODEN MATCH HOLDER TO ME! you put those large wooden matches in the top & strike them on the front. These were always kept by the stove in the olden days, as they had to light the stove everytime they cooked. everyone had them.everyone had that spoon too! HA! BOTH MY GRANDMAS HAD THEM. IT IS JUST POT METAL BUT THEY USED THE HECK OUT OF THEM BACK THEN. i fanned you & will bid!

Very possible. I know what you are talking about. My husband and I are big antique junkies and I've seen different variations of strikers/graters before. Anyhow, I thought they would look cool mounted onto a piece of barn wood!
