After exploring a comic book shop in Manhattan called the Forbidden Planet, the Doctor realises that the Authority is a simple story in this universe which entirely lacks any superhumans or the means to support them. Meanwhile the Engineer, after probing the planet's entire internet, discovers that while this planet is extraordinarily rich in pornography there are no technological resources available to help them save the dying Carrier; the Engineer also theorises that this low energy parallel universe may actually be the 'baby universe' itself.
