The shoe trees are cedar scented, helps absorb moisture and shape the foot area of the shoe.

Look very carefully to the pictures. I have included the pictures of the flaws, chewed up top and a few teeth marks on the foot area. I was told the guard dog chewed through a bag to chase a cat. They were part of a close out sale at a K-mart store. In all I purchased 25 shoe trees. The dog marks don't interfere with them working properly.
The string allows you to bend the sharper with ease to inset and remove them. The cedar scent will fill the shoe box also.
