Description
The listing, 20 Rose of Sharon Seeds has ended.
You will be recieving 20 Rose of Sharon seeds .Color of flower is purple with a maroon center! These bushes reminds me of My Grandmother's house!Beautiful bushes that attracts butterflies as well. Picture is my bush where the seeds came from! Freshly Harvested! You may plant in late fall directly in the ground. The seeds are hard so I take manicure scissors and make a little nick in them. I like to start now in trays and then transfer where I want them in the fall.. A little water is all they require. They will have a great start and be established by winter. I would mulch the first year if started in the fall. They can also be planted in early spring. They are not picky about soil. You will have beautiful trees, plants or bushes for many years to come. You can also root very easy buy just planting a branch in the soil with some rooting hormone added or root in a container of water. The trees can also be transplanted any where you would like. They are hardy in zones 5-9. Germination is 10 weeks or less. They are a beautiful fast grower requiring little care. You can save your own seeds at the end of the blooming season when the pods turn brown. Dry in a cool dark place in a paper bag. Store in an envelope for your planting season.
