The listing, 1979 Topps #40 DENNIS ECKERSLEY (Red Sox ) Hall of Famer has ended.
Perhaps best known for his time with the Oakland A's, where he saved 320 games in 9 seasons, including 51 in his Cy Young *and* MVP season in 1992, Eck was no slouch in Boston, either. A starter with the Red Sox, "Eck" won 88 games with the Red Sox, including 20 in 1978, when he finished 4th in Cy Young voting. All told, he finished in the top 5 of Cy Young voting 4 times, made 6 All Star teams, and saved 390 games on top of 197 wins(151 as a starter). He was inducted into the Hall of Fame on his first ballot in 2004.
