The listing, 19th century Ketcham & McDougall thimble has ended.
I don't know much about these but it's atleast 14k over sterling silver from what I've been told. I did also have one antique shop owner say it was solid 14k due to it not showing any tarnish or signs of the gold wearing off for its age. I didn't want to turn it in for scrap as I find them so beautiful with all the intricate details and I'm hoping it finds someone who will love it. It's in mint condition and shows no sign of wear. It is a size 8. Ive been told it's marked McKd and 14 under that. It's also marked 0. The outside is engraved M.B. I'm selling it "as is" please look at the photos and bid with your own knowledge of these types of items as I only know what I've been told. I'm open to gin offers through pm as long as you don't try to take advantage because I do know there is some value here. Happy bidding!
