The listing, *~*~*~6 Golden Raintree Seeds~*~*~* has ended.

Also known as a Chinese Flame tree. For all of you in the mid-south who’ve lost your elms to disease, this is a great replacement. You’ve probably seen them along streets and in parks; they’re chosen for both their beauty and durability. Golden Raintree is amongst the splashiest of spring bloomers with its late butter-yellow flowers, one of the few to show this color. Sporting a neat, rounded crown with upward-reaching branches and a spreading habit, the leaves open as burnished copper and turn to deep green. Golden Raintree will be happiest in loose, well-drained soil (alkaline is OK), and once it’s established, will tolerate drought, heat, wind and air pollution. In the fall, Golden Raintrees display charming 2” golden seed pods that resemble miniature Chinese lanterns. A fast grower, it will produce shade quickly and is ideal as a stand-out focal point for smaller lawns. Zones 5-9.

FYI - these seeds are really hard so you have to take an emery board or sandpaper and scrub the sides in a few places to weaken the shell. then plant them in some good soil. they take a long time to germinate, so be patient and keep watering them. when i did mine, it took about 4 weeks for the first one and 3 months for the second one. after that i dug up the remaining 4 seeds and re-sanded (figured it couldnt hurt as they werent doing anything anyway, lol) and i had 2 more pop up. the seeds didnt rot so im doing the same thing with the remaining 2 seeds i had planted. its a trial and error thing but these seeds dont rot and are very forgiving! have fun planting

i need to change the shipping. sorry i just re-listed all my auctions. i found yesterday when i mailed that if i cut down a padded mailer to about reg small envelope size - the post office does not charge me the $1.76. instead they charged me 88cents. so i will do that from now on. so shipping will be a dollar thru paypal (24 cents for the fee) or two stamps sent me me. does that make it better for you? i would offer free shipping but i do that only on the seeds i can put in a reg envelope and im already going thru 2-3 books of stamps a week for those and i just dont have enough income to double and or triple that with the double stamped items.
