Description

The listing, "Superman: The Movie" Poster; Mylar, Vintage, Genuine, and Very Rare From 1978 *RELISTING* has ended.

OK Supes fans and especially you fans of Christopher Reeve! This is probably the only time you will EVER see this poster on Listia. It has never been listed on here before, I'm fairly certain, as this poster is so hard to get a hold of. But, this poster is an 1978 original printing from when the motion picture first came out! This poster is made of Mylar, which when used in posters, is a highly reflective form of some sort of nylon plastic I believe, as is seen in the pictures. This is not a cheap 5 dollar poster that you can find at allposters.com or any other generic poster website on the net. I don't think you can usually find it on movie poster specialty websites for that matter. So pick up this copy for that supes fan in your life. This would a great treat for someone for Christmas or for a birthday. Chances are, the recipient will have never seen this poster before and will be astonished and amazed at how cool and rare it is! I have only seen two of these in the past 7 years or so; once when I bought this one and one other time. The poster measures 21 in x 30 in and is more than suitable for framing. You would NOT want to put tacks into this item so as not to degrade the value. This is NOT a One Sheet (27 x 41) that was silver in color for the Limited, Christmas Advance Release Advertisement posters you may remember seeing in theaters when you were young. This is a limited poster but, it came from a specific chain of theaters up on the Northwest Coast of the USA if I'm not mistaken. If anyone knows anymore history behind this poster, feel free to share. And if you have any questions, feel free to post as well. Otherwise thanks so much for looking and happy bidding!

Sincerely
jimvertigo

PS - I ONLY SHIP TO LISTIA VERIFIED USA ADDRESSES.
ALL LISTIA RULES AND POLICIES APPLY! NO EXCEPTIONS!

PPS - The frame will NOT come with the poster. Nor is the ectoplasm to the left of the credits on the poster.

Nope... The buyer backed out because he thought it was another poster even though I posted clear pictures and text describing this poster. Duh! Look at the pretty pictures and read before you bid people! It was a major pain for me to redo everything too but I was nice about it though maybe I shouldn't have been. >:^<

The only superman to me is christopher reeve no one can take his place that why the change the name of the movies coming out to man of steel because the superman movie they made after he passed didnt do is good and it was more money to go to the movies $10.00. christopher reeve movie was like $3.00 to go see and it still made more money so that why they change the name maybe his son will take over he looks just like him then they can go back to superman love that poster. im couple hundred short.

I thought Brandon Routh did a very good job in what was essentially Superman 3...Superman Returns...which picked up where Superman 2 left off. Reeve can't be replaced though, I agree. Henry Cavil is not a good fit if you ask me. I didn't like the last film very much.
