The listing, World War II British Hurricane Post Card has ended.

The plane that helped win the Battle of Britain in 1940. The Hurricane was one of the most famous of WWII fighter aircraft and the Hurricane shown on this post card has the markings of the Eagle Squadron, an RAF unit composed of American volunteers who went to fly for Britain prior to America getting in the war. On the back of this unused post card is a short paragraph about the plane.

Questions & Comments

Several Americans were aces (shot down five enemy aircraft) before Pearl Harbor. They were volunteers that went to Canada or Britain and served In the Royal Air Force . The Eagle Squadron few Hurricane fighters. This post card has a plane with Eagle Squadron markings.
