Description

The listing, NES Nintendo Entertainment PC retro gaming system has ended.

Here is a project that works fine with some of the emulators and games that I have on it and others that need a bit of tweaking.
this Is an NES that I hollowed out and stuck a computer in for retro gaming sessions, it runs fine on the internet but it really isn't for high end gaming just for the emulators and OS that are on it .
the OS is called puppy linux 10 and is made specifically for retro games and emulators. Plays Amiga (500, 1000, 2000), Apple (68k, 128k, 512k, SE, MacOS, Plus), Atari (ST, 800, 800XL, 130XE, 5200), Amstrad (CPC, Plus, VEB), Arcades, Colecovision, Commodore (64, 128, VIC20, PET), Doom, GameBoys (GB, GBC, GBA), GameGear, Genesis/MegaDrive, MasterSystem, MS DOS, MSX, N64, NDS, NeoGeo, NeoGeo CD, NES/Famicom, PC Engine/TurboGrafix, PSX, ScummVM, SNES and ZX Spectrum (16k, 48k, 128k, +2, +2A, +3) and more!

PS I replaced the stock red power led with a blue one that flashes on startup for accessing info on the hard drive...

this is my pet project and I hope I can get a lot of credits for it.

more info on the OS can be found here...

Seen tons of these even made my own without the hack job on the back.I will stick too my wii with soft mod.Just google these they are dime a dozen.
Sep 13th, 2011 at 5:45:50 PM PDT by
Original
yeah Id like to try again without the rough job on the back, practice makes perfect but its the small form factor motherboard thats 100.00 or more with the pico psu, thats where the job gets expensive, I was lucky to find a car computer that I used for the insides for 85.00 .....

Man! Only 1 hour left and I don't have credits. I just got back from 'Bastrop, Texas' fighting that fire and came back with 6 credits on my Listia account. My wife went on a shopping spree here on Listia, lol! Great listing. I've seen some crazy inventions using consoles. Will be watching your future auctions.

Not sure if you already addressed this but can you use the original NES controllers? Also, p.s. you should seriously consider trading me this for a bunch of my NES soaps I have up. :3

no sorry, the nes contorller hack was a bit complicated for me to try, but you can use any usb controller, there are usb modded nes controllers on ebay that would work.thanks
