The pendant is sterling silver plated brass, and the chain is rhodium plated copper (anti-tarnish chain). This stone is brilliant - it's a HOT red color that shows blue "fire" strewn through it. These stones are made in the Czech republic in the same fashion they were made in the turn of the century, when they were first popularized in bohemian costume jewelry.
