It is solid sterling silver. The marking is .925, which means it is sterling silver. This was part of a jewelry store liquidation. I do not sell anything I would not wear. I do not like plated stuff. I think it cheapens the stone. This was part of a jewelry store liquidation and they said it was white opal and solid sterling silver. You can search the internet. White opals are very popular.
