It is roman I buy lots of them unsorted and unclean to grade and resale on ebay I see a lot of them but this one is not in my books i get about 2 or 3 a year that I don't know. This happens A lot with ancient coins. I hope that helps you!
im almost a %100 sure its a Constantius II (c 353 AD) bronze centenionalis. the reverse depicts a Roman soldier spearing a fallen Persian horseman. nice coin. bronze coins dont hold up well over time.
Yea coin may be Constantius II type 24 for sure but their are at least 15 fallen horsemen depending on the shield. But can not read rear legend due to the strike of coin. If Constantius II put coin about ad 348-358. good luck ever one!
