Yo Boys and Girlz! You like old school rap like it has always been meant to be; enjoyed and listened to on a jam box while you were sportin your new high top sneakers? Than get up on it and pick up this more than awesome copy of THE Beastie Boys Anthology: The Sounds of Science. Many Mike D, MCA, and AdRock song that you have heard (and haven't heard) with your friends and used to shake your rump to is here in this set. The Beastie Boys were more than a class act and were more talented than most people are even aware of. There is a Bossa Nova song here (YES By the Beastie Boys!!) a cover of Benny and the Jets, the theme song of coolness in the mid 90's, Sabotage, and other rarities and off hand musings that the larger majority of us (even those who WERE aware of the B Boys) didn't even know could come outa NYC! I'm a huge fan of "The IN Sound from Way Out" which is purely instrumental songs by the BBoys but, I had no idea that The Mix Up even existed until just a moment ago while I was researching stuff for this auction! Heck yeah! Pickin that one up on pay day next month! So....if you've loved the Boys and never invested in actually buying any of their full length recordings, then this 2 CD set might just be enough for you. I love it but, I can't rap worth a crap so...I'm keeping them in my memory when I listen to their Cool as ish instrumental stuff (that will also just blow your mind if you ever get around to buying and listening to it). This CD is gently used as I've only listened to it maybe once for each disc. It also has an awesome 77 page booklet that talks about all the songs from the POV of "the boys". Cleaning out my stash; my loss, your gain right? So get on it and pick this up now! Thanks for lookin....and may Adam RIP. :(
