The listing, Redheaded Princess Cloth Paperdoll Purse New from Alice110 has ended.

Shazam! This redheaded princess was inspired by the movie Frozen. The purse measures 7" by 8 1/2" when closed, and 13" by 8 1/2 inches when open. There is no clasp. The doll is cream cotton stuffed with fiberfill and features red yarn hair. Her three outfits attach to her with Velcro, "paperdoll" style. Purse is lightly padded. All fabrics are quilt quality, and the "quilt" on the inside is really quilted!

Alice , I love all 4.When My girls used to play with Barbie's I noticed they liked the Barbie's the best with color different from theirs and so did their friends.

No, but that is great. Everyone will have a Barbie that looks like them. But they can have a doll that they identify with. I sent my kids to a mixed race Christian school.So they love all types of people.

Well, we have that in common. My girls were in a neighborhood school that was all black and I moved them to the local parish school so they would experience diversity. No regrets.

The local school district is all white. My kids never went there. I sent them to Christian , charter and a public high school.All 3 schools were mixed. I was in the military and my parents had all races of friends.

That's as it should be. But many towns and cities used the "neighborhood school attendance area" concept. So if different races were not allowed to get mortgages in certain parts of town, the neighborhood school ends up being only one color. This the school desegregation lawsuits in the 70's.

Did you hear about the Supreme Court " Brown vs Topeka 1954? They showed the movie on TV. Thurgood Marshall was Brown's lawyer.A brilliant man who later became a Supreme Court justice. It was the first desegregation Supreme Court ruling.All 9 justices voted unanimously to desegregate the public schools. BUt when Thurgood Marshall showed a little Black girl and black and a white doll and asked her which she's rather be and she picked the white doll.It broke my heart.That is why I was glad when you told me about the Barbie's.

Of course about Brown vs Topeka B of E.. It was the basis of many question on my Masters in Special Education exams. Glad you know of it. I was 13 when it was argued and I remember the eminent black magazine, Ebony, devoted many issues to the event. However, it took a lawsuit in many situations as that was a federal case and states did and still do retain many rights and must pass theeri own acts to bring it to happen locally.

I was not born yet.I heard about repeatedly in school, junior, high and high school. The Movie about on TV really made it hit home. Congratulations, On your Masters in Special ED.How many years did you teach? I have a B.S. in Dietetics. I was the first person in my family to graduate from college.

I was a teacher in my second career, and taught 21 years full time. I retired in 2011 and now I sub which is part time most of the time except for a long-term here and there. My B.A. is in English - Secondary Education. My three cousins and I were the only ones to have graduated when we did. I only had three cousins. We are down to two of us now out of the original four. All of our kids have graduated and some have Masters.

That is great Alice! My brother has a masters in social work, another brother an AA in Paralegal studies, and a BA in political Science and economics.My siter did not graduate from college and now she is working constantly as a Home health companion.Her husband died 5 years ago. My niece and 2 daughters are undergraduates, but all 3 of 3 children on my side of the family are in college. My family was poor and then my dad died of a massive heart attack at 50 years old that we all went to college. Education can mean the difference between poor and middle class. I have invited my sister to come and live with my husband and me but for now she prefers to stay in California since her daughter is there.
