Description

The listing, Quartz Earrings with Suspended Pentacles **Pagan/Wiccan** has ended.

These earrings were handmade by me using real tumbled Quartz nuggets and glass spacer beads. The lead-free Tibetan silver pentagram charms are suspended in the center allowing them to swivel and move freely. This unique and fashionable design makes a statement while offering up great vibrational energy to the wearer.

The ultimate shaman's stone, clear Quartz has been used as an aid in magical and divinatory acts since time immemorial. It is an excellent amplifier of magical energy. Quartz also amplifies the power of other stones.

I keep seeing these fabulous pentagrams you have in a lot of your items, and I can't help but wonder - where DO you get them? I like the design of them a lot (overlap seems difficult to find on pentagrams where I am) and I was hoping to be able to work with them myself at some point.
Also, fabulous auction... very dynamic design, the double circle is a very nice touch. :)

Thank you so much!
Pentagrams can be hard to find! I have to order them online.
I have actually been thinking about doing an auction with just a few of the pentagram charms themselves for folks like me who like to make jewelry.
So if I get enough response to this post about this that I know people would want to bid on such an auction, I will do one next week!

The pentacle (or pentagram) is a very old symbol, dating back thousands of years. It has been used by many different cultures and religions over the millennia. It was even used by Christianity at one point to represent the 5 wounds of Christ.
It modern times it has been adopted by the Wiccan/Neo Pagan movement as a banner symbol (kind of like what the cross is to Christianity).
In this incarnation, the pentacle has come to represent 5 elements: earth, air, fire, water, and spirit. Spirit is at the apex above all. For this reason it is favored by Wiccans to use/have present in circle when calling the quarters.

This is just a quick overview, the history and uses of the 5-pointed star is long and varied and I encourage all that are interested to research it for themselves, as it is an interesting and worthwhile subject!

Yes, PLEASE put some up for auction...and any Green Man beads, pendants, anything Green Man. It is damn near impossible to find him. I want to make a my son a necklace and start making jewelry. Would tiger's eye be the appropriate stone for a ring for my son? He just turn 18 recently and is now in college...he wants a ring that isn't outright Wiccan, (doesn't want to scare off any girls :::eye roll::: and something more mature/grown up?

Right now all I would have available for auction would be Pents. And I don't have ANY Green Man beads :( And while I have actually looked too hard for him, I haven't run across any. I am more into Goddess pendants/beads. If not a Green Man, what about a World Tree symbol? I don't have any right now though.
Tiger Eye has great protective properties and is certainly more "manly" than say, Rose Quartz, but it is really more about what type of stones he is in tune with. Black Onyx, Hematite, Malachite, or Lapis Lazuli might also work. You might look into their different properties and then ask him what he would prefer or what meets his needs best.
As for a symbol that is rather Pagan but not as glaringly obvious as a pent, there are many. Goddess, Triskele, Triquetra, World Tree, Ankh, Triple Moon, Eye of Horus, Sun, Moon, etc, etc.
What speaks to him?

Beautiful earrings, I bid!!! Fanned a while back. Been watching lol. I adore pentacles, as I am a Gnostic Ecclectic Pagan. I currently have no jewelry that signifies my beliefs. This is awesome, thanks!

I would definitely bid on an auction with just the charms! Or even if you just put up beads, I would be all for that too! Love your auctions, and have been a fan for awhile, and I check back from time to time to see what you have new. :D

Woo Hoo!! I can't wait! Thanks for everything you wrote about what might work for my son. He seems to be drawn to tiger's eye and the green man. I really like the idea of the world tree...
It is hard to find Wiccan/Pagan jewelry for young MALES. It drives me nuts. There are too many books to count that are female focused, not that that is a bad thing mind you. But only a handfull of books for males, especially the teen to young adult age group. <]:'-(

You are welcome. The world tree would probably be the next closest thing to the Green Man if you absolutely can't find him.
There are a lot of books that are female focused but a lot of the top Pagan/Wiccan books out there are written by men though too. Some of the most prolific and well known are Scott Cunningham, Christopher Penczak, and Raymond Buckland.
Scott Cunningham's writing is very easy to understand and his "Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" and "Living Wicca" are both great for early/mid teens and up.
Good luck!
