Description
The listing, 1604 English Lennox Farthing- Documented and Archived has ended.
Some years ago, I bought a collection from an English gentleman that included some artifacts that he had found with his metal detector. All of the artifacts were archived on a database called the Portable Antiquities Scheme. Each artifact has a description of what was found and where. All of these artifacts have database numbers and can be looked up online. I will be putting these on from time to time.
This is a copper alloy Lennox Farthing of James I from 1604-5. It is very worn and corroded and hard to tell what it is, letting you know now. It is still a neat piece of history. It is about the size of a dime and measures 15.8mm in diameter and is 0.3mm thick. This was found in Cambridgeshire, England and is documented online. Coin comes with original paperwork.
