Some of my Dad's things are very dear to me. Other of his things are but what they are. We know what has meaning. It's a very interesting looking tool. When I was military I'd have considered this tool to be gold!

I completely understand what you are saying, those that dear to my Heart will always be in my possession, this little guy is being auctioned so that someone else may feel the joy of giving it to their children, or being able to play with it as I have :)

My father has been deceased for more than 40+ years, and I have about 57+ knives from him in my collection, I just thought that I would let a few go, so to add new knives to my collection. :)

By The Way, I just found out from my fathers brother, that the knife was made in Yashin (Sp?) Japan in 1954, not 1955. 1955 is the date that my father acquired it.

My son would go gaagaa over this knife... he started collecting knives when he was 3-his grandfather gave him his first one. He currently has about 76 I think and he is only 16. This would be a great bday gift. I am watching real close on this and fanning you. :)

Thx. Fanned U Back, and I believe that this was one of my prized knives in my vast collection. The other prized knife is a turquoise shell handled pocket knife, that I might even offer for auction here (trying to talk to wife, not to make that happen).
