Description

The listing, Lovely Ladies 17-Jewel Austin Wristwatch! has ended.

Slowly paring down my many watches that I own! Need a good home for this one--Austin, 17- jewel windable watch!! It says " MAJOR" 10k RGP (rolled gold plated, I believe it means) bezel, stainless back. I haven't worn it in years---I gently wound it and it started ticking. Can't guarantee that it will work---so please be aware! I didn't want to overwind it! The band is a Speidel--says " 1/20 10k GF (gold filled)" and is a total of 7 inches in length. Face of watch has slash marks for the hours---very pretty!
Will send the winner the tracking number and expected date of delivery! Good luck and happy bidding!

It looks silver in color. Is it gold in color?

Please let us know if it keeps time. How old do you think it is?

I have gently wound it again in the hopes that I can say it will keep time--at least until it runs out of "winding" energy :0) I can't and won't guarantee because I don't want anyone saying that it stopped working, so please bid cautiously! You can hear it ticking after I wound it --good sign?! Guessing it is maybe twenty or thirty years old--I am not an expert on watches' ages--sorry!

Ok---my watch is STILL ticking after I wound it once---it has been three hours later! I don't want to wind any more as I said in description for fear of overwinding---at least it still has the "ticks and tocks" in it :0)

Awoke this am and checked on watch--it stopped at 5:09 am! Not bad for one winding "session"---hmmm...maybe I should keep :0) Just kidding! Want to find a good home for it---it is very pretty and elegant!!

I thank you for bidding! Yes, like I wrote you, it kept time until 5:09 this morning when I checked it again. Before I retired for the evening, it kept PERFECT time! It hasn't been worn in a LONG time, so I didn't know if it was keeping time again or not! I started around 5:45 last night till this am--not bad, I would say :0)

Sorry that I didn't state what was obvious to me (and I know pics can be deceiving!)--the watch is all silver colored--thank you for pointing that out!

The band looks like a brushed herringbone design if that helps to picture it--it is a very pretty piece!

Thanks, I started the bidding. Is it keeping time though? I have several vintage watches that tick but get way off time in a few hours.
