No it is silver over gold filled. but it is of high quality and will not turn your finger green :)

Sapphire is a very strong stone. I wouldn't worry about it. Like she said just take care of it and it will be just fine. My birthstone as well :)

i think it would do just fine , just make sure as with any other rings just do proper care to them such as take off while showering, or doing dishes and just wipe them with a soft cloth every now and again to keep the shine. i have and wear the same ring but with amythyst and this is how i take care of them. hope this helps. and good luck and happy bidding
