This auction is for a vTech i5857 Expandable Cordless Phone system.

These items are ALL in fully working order and have light wear. This is a very nice phone system with very clear and loud audio sound. Phones are 5.8 GHz digital spread spectrum. You get a total of 3 handsets. This is a very high quality system and not cheap junk like most home phones sold in big box stores. This system sold for about $250 when new.

vTech i5857 base unit with handset with color display, base has speakerphone, keypad, display, AC power adapter.
vTech i5807 Full Color Accessory Handset, cradle, AC power adapter.
vTech i5803 Accessory Handset ( b&w display on this one), cradle, AC power adapter.

Questions & Comments

These handsets use standard in-expensive AA rechargeable batteries. Available anywhere. This is a big plus because you don't need to buy special battery packs that are hard to find and expensive. Each handset uses 2 AA batteries. I include 1 brand new set and 2 sets used about a year old. I used to put a new set in each handset every year.

There is even a charger in the base unit that lets you charge an extra set of batteries to swap out. Very clever. You can use it to also charge AA sets for other devices that use AA batteries.

Sorry - no actual photos, but I already packed everything up and got it ready to ship when I bought a new phone. I was going to just send it to an recycling place, but decided that someone could still enjoy it since everything works. All are very clean and almost new looking. Pristine displays. Just minor wear like some keypad wear and minor scratches.

This system is probably 10 years old, but still going strong.
