Questions & Comments
Tremendous collection. Tremendous auction. You deserve a medal. Thank you for sharing of your treasures. Totally and absolutely impressed and inspired.
Thank you! Since over 400 stamp lots sold earlier in the evening, it will now take many hours to fulfill all that and the current set of stamp lots (over 500...) will close mostly on this coming Wednesday night ... These stamps aren't technically part of my own collection, but duplicate items.
These are treasures. A reminder of a more value minded America and the hard work and faith that made America so strong and great. It is so good to see that our roots were strong and our collective faith in God and all goodness was healthy. I got a sense of hope and prayed that we can be as brave as we once was and that we can return to the values and respect we once had for ourselves and to our loyalty and love for our country strong in moral truth with a strong and humble credo,in God we trust. I really was inspired looking at this beautiful America. Great timing for your auction. Happy 4th of July. Blessings.and THANK YOU for sharing our history through these impressive stamps even if they are duplicates. It takes effort to make such an exquisite auction. Thank you also for the invitation to look at your saved collection arranged in pages. Awesome.
Yes, they are (little treasures)! But, just to clarify things: when we stamp collectors say we have more than one "copy" or "duplicates", it means that these still are actual (real) valid US postage stamps as issued by the US Postal Service, and that we just happen to have more than one of them. Some people get confused and think that by us saying that we have "copies" or "duplicates", that they are photocopies, illegal reprints or something similar. No, they are real! Actual "Duplicating or copying" of US postage is a federal offense.
These stamps were issued in sheets of 40 stamps, containing 5 each of 8 different designs. The full sheets are still available from some stamp dealers and I'm simply breaking them down into the individual stamps.
That's really fine with me. Each one is a treasure! And I hope you receive all the credits you deserve for going through all this effort to share your good fortune. I am going back to bid on some more because they are just so inspiring to me. I intend some for gifts. They will make some people really, really happy. I looked at some issued on my birth year. Wow. It was great to see so many! These make for good birthday gifts and it is a scrapbooker's dream to have some of these just to admire and hold and pass on to the youth. This stamps are like a legacy of America. I can't thank you enough for putting them in the auctions. I am so delighted. i have my heart set on winning the ones I bid on. For each one I have a specific reason for wanting it. I am too am going to share. I am making them a surprise gift to insert into cards. Although they are honest to goodness real stamps, I wouldn't use them for the mail because they have sentimental value. I am sure you invested alot of money in these and again I thank you for downsizing and letting the rest of us have a piece of history! Blessings on you always.
