Description

The listing, VINTAGE Diamond Pattern Depression Glass has ended.

This is a 6" in diameter clear depression glass saucer that is such a handsome piece it doesn't even need a cup to show off with. As you know clear depression glass is very hard to pinpoint as several manufacturers put them out. The ones produced after 1910 had stamps on them. This one predated that. So this pattern is either diamond, or starburst. I believe it is Windsor. Possibly Fenton. One of the cool things about depression glass is not just that you can display it in a sunny window and gaze upon it's brilliance. But, the research is fascinating. This piece is of course in perfect condition with no scratches or chips.
And as I said this piece is handsome on it's own but a beautiful glass or china teacup would make a beautiful marriage don't you think?

I fanned you as well. You have quite a diverse category of listings. That's cool. I saw that little dress that (like you) I would wear with jeans and maybe some turquoise and boots. Definitely too short for an ole hyde like me.

That is so nice that she gave those to you. My "Ninnie" as well as my 90 year old friend tried to give me things b4 they passed but I just couldn't take them. Not then it would have made me feel bad knowing they were on short time. Of course other family members swooped in like vultures and took all the valuables and even threw away what they didn't want. But I have memories as with both ladies I was with them very often and it has made for some wonderful memories. You be sure and cherish those items and make sure they go to the right folk.
Good googy moogly forgive me my rambling I just got caught up in the memories. The best of luck to you hon on the auction

Thank you and yes, memories, I have 3 Sons and they are all married now, 2 have little children and 1 is trying. I have them and other stuff from my Grandmothers and Great Grandmother (tiny woman and only spoke German, lol) packed for my Son's and their wives to put away for their children, but right now, as I was in my 30's, I really could have cared less, so my one Son knows where everything is when I pass away, especially my Last Supper Picture that was my Great Grandmom...and I do not mind you rambling, it is nice to meet nice people on here.
Also, I understand to much about the vultures, I think we all have them in our families:))))))
