The listing, BRACELET - **ART NOUVEAU** (NEW ART) TURQUOISE CLIP ON STYLE BRACELET BNIB SMALL has ended.

This is a Turquoise Clip on bracelet. This has a strong clip.

This is a size 7 or under and is classed as small.

It is made out of German silver aka nickel silver, which in fact has no silver in the metals at all..see
below...

It does have a sterling sliver overlay...

These bracelets are hand crafted by decendants of the North American Nahua Indian Nation that now live in deep southern Mexico .

They are designed with Abalone shells, Turquoise, precious and semi-precious stones, dried natural wild flowers etc. to create flowers,scenes etc.

The stones used are genuine..

Stamped Alpaca or Mexico..Vietta Taxco, Vietta CR Taxco

These pieces are lead free...

Some metals may be called 'silver' when, in fact, they are not (except in coloration). For example, nickel silver (also know as German silver) is an alloy consisting of about 60% copper, about 20% nickel, about 20% zinc, and sometimes about 5% tin (in which case the alloy is called alpaca). There is no silver at all in German/nickel/alpaca silver.

To clean wash with mild dish washing liquid in warm water, Do not submerge, rinse and dry with a soft cloth.

to store when you arent wearing it wrap in a paper towel or tissues and store in a ziplock baggie...(helps keep the oxidation minimal)...dry pack/baggie provided to help keep moisture out...

This jewelry is sold by a member of The Fair Trade Act since 1997 and Green America and sponser for over 40 years..

I would say small adult or teenage size I do have some small cuff style
I'll be listing that with a slight squeeze they go from small adult size to my 8 year old great grandaughters size ..they are adjustable but this one isnt.. Thanks for asking,and hope my answer helps:))

nice little auctions, are you in some way affiliated with this company that's " a member of The Fair Trade Act since 1997 and Green America and sponser for over 40 years"? The pieces, while constructed using 'German Silver', are all well made, and the stones and shells used seem top notch, jewelry that's worth owning. I'm a long time fan, and I have a penchant for Native American artifacts, and these seem to fit the category, though it's about as far south as the term 'American' can rightly apply, lol! Thanks for introducing us to the work of the Nahua, I'll definitely be Watching!

I have a home business and have had since 1998. it was then I became aware of this company..I have been a supporter since. I believe in what they represent, their goals, their mission statement, the Fair Trade Act, Green America, and The Workers Defense Project out of Texas(I dont have room in the auction to mention that one). Being a customer and supporter I in turn help the Nahau as well.
I sell these from home and I choose to use my profits to list jewelry on here so maybe others can get a piece of jewelry where they otherwise might not be able too..
My reward is making people happy..
Some pieces are stamped Live Free or Die they are special when I am able to get them..but it speaks for itself..no reservations...
As far as being as far south as The term America can apply lol there is South America :)

Thanks for a rapid reply to an in depth question and an answer that covered all the bases, and brought in even more info to substantiate the first. Being a Texas resident, I'll have to look into the Workers Defense Project, it sounds like a project worthy of further investigation. I like the idea of No Rez, as would most Native persons of my acquaintance, any project that has that as a viable result is ok in my book! I will continue to follow your pieces here on listia, and endeavor, as well, to learn more of the North American Nahua Indian Nation. I am distantly descended from Apache progenitors, and had thought that I was, at least peripherally, aware of most other North American Tribes, so I was surprised to hear one I knew NOTHING at all about. I shall try to remedy that! Thanks for a very friendly, and educational response to my questions! I do hope you have a splendid week! Sorry I haven't replied back until now, I was in the process 4 hrs ago when the power went out and have just gotten my pc back to where I can use it..
You are welcome..The W.D.P. out of Austin Texas is a non-profit organization that goes to bat for the immigrant's that are living here and working here, for fair wages and better working conditions..this too is a great organization as it helps those hard workers be able to get fair wages instead of getting what someone wants to pay them if anything at all.
The no reservations has a bit to do with it but for the most part I was speaking of the stamp Live Free or Die...where some tribes chose to live on the reservations others moved south to Mexico and north to Canada.. All in all there is much history with any of the tribes.
Nahau is much like the Aztecs, they have the same language and many of the same traditions..
I'd like to thank you very much not only for your interest but for your comments as well..It lets me see that my part of sharing the info with others is being heard and I really appreciate it..
