Here's a super OLD and uncommon stamp from Denmark-- it is Scott no. 30, a 16ø slate & brown from the first set from 1875. It is in used condition, and quite nice for a 140-year old stamp! No thins, tears or other damage I could see. It's a $6.50 value in the Scott catalogue, so not just a piece of "cheap junk!"

Here's the bigger scoop: My mom and stepdad both passed away a few years ago, and I've been going through some of their old stuff-- they were both dedicated "savers" of everything. In some ways, I guess they were borderline "hoarders." My stepdad collected stamps, and this is from his collection-- although it's more like a giant pile of messy album pages and envelopes than an actual collection.

I think people should have fun bidding on stuff-- that's what auctions are all about! So the starting bids for my stuff will always be is FIVE credits, and we go from there, no matter HOW valuable something might be.
