The listing, Coffee Seeds! Grow your own coffee plant has ended.

This auction is for 6 free fresh coffee plant seeds from Bolivia. Grow your own coffee plant and harvest your own beans! Free shipping. Thanks for looking, and good luck!

Coffee makes for a great indoor plant because of its aroma and health-related benefits. While growing, coffee plants bloom white flowers that emit a jasmine-like scent—rich, sweet, floral and exotic.

It’s important to replicate the coffee plant’s natural environment: humidity, mist and filtered sunlight. Growing indoors is common, usually in a windowed room that lets in about 4-5 hours of sunlight a day (you can also use artificial lighting, which may be easier), and stays between 60 and 80 degrees during the day and doesn’t dip below 45 degrees at night.

Pick a spot with ample room. Coffee plants can grow up to 10 feet.

First soak the coffee seeds in water for 24 hours. Then sow the seeds in damp sand or wet vermiculite in which the excess water has been drained. Plant the seed 1.5" deep in a deep pot. Coffee needs lots of depth for the taproot.

The soil should remain well drained, but moist at all times.

After germination, the coffee plant should either be left alone or carefully removed and planted in a soil with a low pH and high nitrogen content.

Where do you grow your own coffee? It seems that a greenhouse is needed, or?

No greenhouse needed. My coffee plant has done fine in my living room by my glass patio door for over 9 years now. It just needs protection from the weather -- if you live somewhere where you can have it outside part of the year, even better! Thanks for asking, and good luck! :)

It can take a few weeks for germination. This plant takes some patience, but it's so worth it. Good luck!

Thanks for your answer! Have you actually gotten enough to make coffee out of your plant?

Well, my doctor made me swear off coffee, lol, so I haven't tried in a long time, but yes, it will produce beans. I hope this helps! Good luck

Who cares what doctors say?! ;o) But as long as it produces beans, that's what I care about!

Lol, that's right! Yes, it will make beans, but maybe not the first year or so. It will take some time to grow and get established first. This plant needs patience, but will be worth it in the end. Thanks! :)
