It doesnt say Widescreen,but it takes up the whole screen except black on each side, Hope this helps. good movie

Your description would indicate that it is full screen. But you could check. It should be somewhere on the case. It is often in small lettering on the back side near the bottom. Should list it as either full screen 4 x 3 or 1.33 to 1. Or as widescreen 16 x 9 or 1.85 to 1 or 2.35 to 1 or 2.40 to one. Often referred to as Anamorphic Widescreen. I would appreciate it if you looked again. Thank you. Jim
