Got that right. I mean yeah they make bank but they do have a rough job at times, dealing with dogs and the weather lol! And they aren't the nicest people either, at least not around here.

Well, the mail carriers themselves do have those issues, but the sorters don't and they still make really good money. Lol, although it would be kind of a funny picture to see a dog chasing the sorters around the warehouse while they're sorting the mail. Maybe that's why they're just throwing things around back there. Lol

Hi, awesome auction! And I'll certainly be bidding! But if I may, Listia policy states that the seller is responsible for the item until it reaches the buyer and they inform you and Listia that they have received the item. I saw where you said that once it's shipped it's out of your hands. So I just wanted to let you know about the Listia policy concerning that. I hope you don't mind me saying, I am only wanting to help clear things up so if something were to happen you wouldn't have a big hoopla on your hands. Thanks!

"Moderator Edit - Removed prohibited verbiage."

As per our rules on http://www.listia.com/rules#sh - "You cannot state that you are not responsible for safe arrival of the item or ensuring that items are delivered as described." For example, you cannot state "I am not responsible for this item once I ship it out." It is the responsibility of the seller to ensure the listed item gets to the winner safely because they're the only person who can securely package and ship the item to ensure it does not get damaged or lost from normal shipping practices.

Oh I hear ya on that! The postal workers are not very gentle when sorting the packages. I have a buddy who works at the post office here and he's told me how they just throw packages like its nothing.

Very true. It's almost a waste of ink (depending on who is sorting) for the clerks to even take the time to mark a package. It seems for the most part, all they worry about is getting it in the right bin to go out and that's about it. I have a a friend who's been a postman for close to 30 years now, and he's told me multiple times he's had things on his routes to deliver, that he was almost embarrassed to leave it on their doorstep or in the mailbox in the condition they were in due to the rough handling. Boxes crushed and whatnot since they don't seem to pay attention or care when sorting it. It's a shame. And it's not like the postal workers don't make good money, so you'd think they'd take some pride and care in their work at the very least. Just doesn't appear to be that way these days unfortunately.

LMAO!!! That is funny! Picturing it! At least that would be a good excuse to why the packages get busted up. Hahaha!

No problem. Any other questions you might have, feel free to let me know and I'll do what I can to answer them. Also, I have quite a few other auctions going right now that you may be interested in, so by all means, take a look at those and if you see something you like, bid on those and see if you can get them as well. :)

I appreciate the offer, but unfortunately I can't do a GIN once bids have been placed on the item. You're winning right now, so just keep a watch on it and you may end up getting it. You can always bid whatever you're willing to go on it, and if no one beats your bid, you'd get it anyhow. I've won quite a few auctions myself doing that. Again, thanks for the offer, good luck, and happy bidding! :)

I will likely be shipping USPS Priority Mail. I take great care when I ship including shipping with tracking so both parties know where items are. A bladed item like this, which I have shipped before, I usually wrap in not only bubble wrap, but brown shipping paper as well if not styrofoam (if I have it). It's well taken care of in shipping as far as how I ship it to the winner. Check out my feedback if you need reassurance by all means. Thanks for you question and good luck bidding! :)

I'm not trying to argue by no means, I'm just wanting to clarify this, here is the policy...

"You cannot state that you are not responsible for safe arrival of the item or ensuring that items are delivered as described. For example, you cannot state "I am not responsible for this item once I ship it out". It is the responsibility of the seller to ensure the listed item gets to the winner.

The seller is fully responsible for securely packaging and shipping the item to ensure against damage or loss from normal shipping practices.

Adding a tracking number or delivery confirmation is highly suggested since it is the only way to protect the seller in case the package is missing. Tracking is usually free with UPS, FedEx and USPS Priority when buying postage online."

Yes, providing a tracking number which I always do as well, does protect you if a buyer tries to lie and say they didn't get it but that's all it's for. As stated above, we as sellers are responsible for the item until the buyer says they've gotten it. Providing a tracking number is just an instrument in helping both parties follow it to its destination. If it were to be lost in the mail and you've provided tracking them your are not responsible. So in all actuality, we're both right! LOL! All I was saying with my point is that you can't say once it's shipped it's out of your hands as the policy says, "I am not responsible for this item once I ship it out". It is the responsibility of the seller to ensure the listed item gets to the winner." But it's all good. You have some really great items! Please don't think I was questioning you or trying to speak negatively on you.

Check out my response to MsPam and you'll see why I said "I've got it covered. ;) I always take great care in shipping. I made that mistake (not making sure to get an item wrapped tightly and securely enough to keep it from getting damaged in shipping) on my second auction (which was one of those ceramic decorative statuettes) and it got broken by the post office. Luckily the winner was gracious about it and didn't get upset. We were both just disappointed in the postal services care of packages that are marked "Fragile". Lol. Since that happened, I use bubble mailers, bubble wrap, shipping paper, spacers, styro foam blocking, etc just to make sure it doesn't happen again, because we all know, no matter how much you do to protect something you're shipping, accidents (or postal workers in this case) happen. ;) Good luck bidding and thanks for the chat. :)
