You keep the games but you lose the ability to play them. To play the games you must have a current PS plus membership. Obviously it keeps the download though so that when you renew your membership you'll have the game ready to go.

What Sabrina said - you can't actually play the games again until you re-up your subscription (if you let it lapse), but you can then play the games again like normal.

It is indeed. At least, as long as you keep your PlayStation plus subscription active. If you let it lapse, then you lose it until you re-up again. Last one I sold went for the 20k GiN for that very reason.

True....all games downloaded are yours to keep even if you lose the membership. Happened to me. Still have the games.

You 'keep' them - you can't however play them while you are not currently subscribed. It's still an awesome service - I have gotten so many games through it, it's ridiculous.
