Description
The listing, Four antique pill golden holders (metal and not plastic) has ended.
Got this at an antique shop while in England. These hold your daily vitamins or whatever pills you have to take that day. Image the look of people. :) take your pill with pride and be a little snooty. Lol. This is from England after all.
Bought for mom but she said it was too fancy for her so she never used it.
It is a set of twos. It depicts a romantic, young love in one set and a young girl full of life with a kid. She has a suitor but only care for her child. Beautiful.
I never see such pill holders before. Imagine all the compliments! Looks like a pocket watch.
Questions & Comments
Claire-I am sorry if that came off as an accusation, that was not my intent-I am very much into Vintage and Antique collectibles, this is why I asked if there were markings or "made in England" I am not doubting you -I am just asking for my own benefit-if its not marked, its not useful to me -but I am sure they are lovely and you already have huge interest in them-thanks and have a nice weekend.
I know what you mean. I am only describing where I got it. Not everything bought in England is made there. Kind of like the USA. Anyways, there are no marks. It could or could not be made in England where I bought it. I bought it in an antique shop. Whether it is or not, is also up to the viewer. It is not very nice to say it is of no use to you. If you don't have something nice to say, don't say it at all. Just don't bid and let someone else enjoy it as it is, a set of pretty pill holders like I described.
I googled the pill box that are porcelain. They are everywhere with the same designs. I think the design I have is what make these so lovely. I guess that is why I bought these while I wasbin England. Lol
Oh your talking about the reproductions. Ya there not nearly as nice as what you have. Lol I was talking about real antique ones from England, there really hard to find though. Ive only seen 2 in my whole life.
Thank you for the gin, but I would like everyone to have a chance. I spent a nice amount buying them in England. You never know, you might get it way less if you bid. :)
Hi-nice auction-i have been collecting antiques for many years ,i n addition to stamps & coins.the pill boxes are of vintage nature.the porcelain are of antique nature , with markings on the underside
Thank you. I labeled it as an antique as it was where I bought it years ago-an antique shop in Endinburg. It was sold to me that way. Owners of shop said it is something people collected and use, not something you just throw away. The details are also better than most pill containers you find. I am no collector. I just label as how I got it, and honestly, bought it because it was pretty and was of use. I never used it much or my mom, so passing it along. I just collect rocks and stamps.
Outside not plastic like most pill holders you see free at kroger. If you read my comments. Outside is metal and inside is plastic or something that feels like it. Never said anything was porcelain.
Sorry I wasn't clear about that. I was asking if the inside was porcelain. I just assumed that when you said not plastic you were talking about the inside. But youve answered my question anyway Thank you :)
Sorry if there were confusion. Pictures are hard to tell in the inside. I have never seen porcelain inside a pill holder before. That would be kind of cool though.
