Amazon Kindle. I believe this is the original version. The screen is frozen on what is shown in the picture. I did a factory reset on it to get it ready to put on Listia and it froze on me. Up to that point, it was working just fine. Never had a problem with it. Maybe you can figure out how to get it unfrozen. I just got a new LG tablet, so I no longer need this Kindle. Great for reading outdoors.

Have you ever tried downloading an anti virus program on it? Perhaps it is frozen due to a virus.

Have you tried to hold the power button for 45 seconds and forcing a reset This will sometimes bring them out of factory reset. You can also call Amazon.com at 866-321-8851 they can talk you through other options. I will be bidding on this item. Can you tell me if it is 3g or wifi. I am looking for a g model. Really nice. I have the Kindle Touch. I had this one and it did not do wifi. I would check it out on Amazon first.

It does not, but unlike most other readers/tablets that do light up, it is great for reading outdoors when it is sunny.
